Ferrous Ascorbate provides iron which is required for the RBC production. Folic acid is required for the synthesis of nucleic acid (DNA & RNA) and is a water-soluble vitamin B9. It is necessary for production of healthy red blood cells. Zinc is used to treat and to prevent zinc deficiency. It is considered as one of the important mineral found in almost every cell in the human body. It promotes the activity of about 100 enzymes./p>
Indications:
● Iron deficiency anemia
● Pregnancy anemia
● Anemia due to chronic blood loss
● Supplemental therapy in lactating mothers
● Chronic illness
● Loss of appetite
● Weakness and lack of concentration

About Composition:

Iron Sorbitol Citrate Acid :
is the source of iron which is used to treat iron deficiency anaemia (a lack of red blood cells caused by having too little iron in the body).

Folic Acid:
is a type of B vitamin helps your body produce and maintain new cells, and also helps prevent changes to DNA that may lead to cancer. Folic acid is sometimes used in combination with other medications to treat pernicious, aplastic, or normocytic anaemia.

Vitamin B12 :
● Helps keep the nervous system and red blood cells healthy
● Required for the formation of red blood cells and DNA
● Important for protein metabolism

Zinc:
supplementation boost up immunity against viruses or may interfere with the replication of certain viruses, such as the human papillomavirus. Zinc has three primary biological roles: catalytic, structural, and regulatory. Zinc is important part of structural unit in numerous proteins, inclusive of growth factors, cytokines, receptors, enzymes, and transcription factors for different cellular signalling pathways. Zinc is a cofactor for approximately 3000 human proteins including enzymes, nuclear factors, and hormones.

Side Effects:
● Nausea
● Regurgitation
● Constipation
● Pyrosis (burning sensation in the chest)
● Upset stomach
● Black stool

Contraindications:
● Peptic ulcer
● Regional enteritis
● Ulcerative colitis
● Hemochromatosis
● Hemosiderosis and hemolytic anemia and all anemia other than iron deficiency

Precautions:
May aggravate existing peptic ulcer, regional enteritis and ulcerative colitis.

Interaction :
● Absorption of tetracycline antibiotics can be impaired when used along
● Antacids decrease iron absorption when administered together
